Victorinox Swiss Army

The History of Victorinox

In 1884 Karl Elsener started a business in a small village named Ibach in Switzerland. A few years after starting the business, Elsener started selling knives to the Swiss Army. 125 years later, the company is still in the hands of the Elseners. Karl Elsener named his company, Victorinox after the name of his mother, Victoria and the name of the stainless steel used in the blades of the knifes, Inox.
